SafePath is a project aimed at incorporating an integrated system of advanced technology and sensors within logistic cargo units for the transportation of valuables.
Starting from transport boxes that must meet stringent quality requirements (such as delivery reliability and environmental conditions), an infrastructure has been developed that leverages contextual information to make the condition and location of goods traceable. This infrastructure has been enhanced with blockchain technologies to notarize value-added visibility elements (e.g., threshold breaches), and artificial intelligence techniques to enable proactive interventions, such as real-time rerouting, minimizing risks and costs associated with deviations or security threats.
Funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU and aligned with the strategic objectives of START 4.0, the project focuses on the secure and autonomous traceability of valuable goods in the logistics sector. It integrates key elements of safety, security, and cybersecurity within advanced logistics.
Within the SafePath project, Elif Lab is responsible for designing and implementing a predictive anti-tampering algorithm that processes data from IoT sensors to signal the probability of unexpected events.
Other project partners: Utilplastic, NGS, Kode (lead partner).
SafePath was selected within BANDO PER PROGETTI DI RICERCA INDUSTRIALE E SVILUPPO SPERIMENTALE IN TEMA DI TECNOLOGIE ABILITANTI 4.0 PER LA SICUREZZA DELLE INFRASTRUTTURE CRITICHE organised by Start4.0, Missione 4 del PNRR, – Missione 4 Componente 2 (M4C2) – Investimento 2.3 – “Potenziamento ed estensione tematica e territoriale dei centri di trasferimento tecnologico
per segmenti di industria”.
